A busy fall!

Howdy folks!  The band is currently working up new songs for our repertoire for 2013 – 2014 season, and we’re having a lot of fun with it.   We’re also contemplating how to carve out a next CD, and what sort of project it should be….it’s not easy to justify the cost of recording when many people prefer to stream music for free (and hard copy CD’s are questionably valuable), but I still think good songs are worth recording!  I’ve been listening to a lot of different/new styles of music these past few months and it’s really influenced my writing — I think the next CD will take on a lot of new sounds/feels, so I hope you’re ready.  Last week I wrote a new one I’m really excited about, and a friend of mine it helping me to tweak the lyrics — will see if she can notch it up for me.

By the way, if you have any great ideas for songs, and think I could do your idea/story justice, let me know — I’m always looking for good new ideas.

Feel free to drop in to see me anytime at the Delta Bow Valley — they’ve got me on a bunch of upcoming Fridays, which is good – including tonight (I’m running there now!).

As some of you may know, I am now my own “Rusty Rider” –because Gary and I got motorbikes this summer.  What a blast.   Of course, safety first, I know.  If you see me riding around town, I’m the one in the extremely nerdy, bright yellow safety jacket.   Visibility is half the battle, and I’m not proud….who needs to wear all black leather anyway? (okay, leather pants, yes, but the safety jacket is my “staple look” — oooh I’m soo coool….not!

Drop me a line anytime!
