BIG NEWS: The short film for which I composed the score, “Ellen’s Shoes” has made it into the Calgary International Film Festival, and received a nomination for “Best Alberta Short Film” – Yahooo! In other news, I wandered in to meet the people at Smithbilt Hats in Inglewood – and came out with a beautiful real-fur new cowboy hat in chocolate brown – gorgeous (they thought my big black one, which I’ve worn for years, wasn’t worth saving…uh, I guess I didn’t know much about hats!).
