Jacquie performs as a solo act with looping equipment – giving the effect of 3 – 6 parts in any given song.  She is currently hosting Community Isobreaker jams on Wednesday nights, which are free outdoor events that anyone can join in on, or attend.

On Saturday nights in summer 2021, she is doing outdoor pop-up shows in various communities around Calgary to test-drive her new CD-Release show for her new album, Lifelong Truth, released summer 2021.  Listen for and request her on CKUA, CJSW or any independent station across Canada.

Depending on the nature of the show,  Jacquie also does accept private bookings.

VENUES/SHOWS

Ironwood Stage:   Jacquie has performed at Ironwood many times since around 2009 – from solo to full band shows.

First Flip 2010 – 2017:  Jacquie Drew performed annually at the city’s kickoff Stampede breakfast called “FIRST FLIP” put on by Tourism Calgary, the Downtown Association, the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, Calgary Arts Development and Calgary Economic Development, with about 5000 people in attendance. It’s held on the Thursday morning, the day before the parade, on Stephen Avenue Mall and 1 Street SW.

“The Boss is a Woman” CD Release Show – January 2015   The January 2015 CD Release show was for Jacquie’s 3rd, CD, this time recorded with her own band, as “Jacquie Drew & the Crew, ” with Richard Erickson on bass, Steve Bridgett on vocals and Scott Muirhead on drums.  The CD Release show was held at the Lantern in Inglewood, with an afterparty downstairs at the same location.   The show had been planned and produced with the help of a Nashville live performance coach, Amy Wolter, of Tom Jackson Productions.  Guest musicians at the show also included Dave Glowasky on fiddle and Johnny Gozde on background vocals (who later took over from Scott Muirhead as her regular drummer.)  The show was a huge step forward for the band, and a terrific production.   Huge thanks to our sound/lighting man, Gary Drew for his enormous contribution.

Nashville 2014:  Jacquie visited Nashville in 2014, and performed at the Row, the legendary Bluebird Cafe and the Maxwell House (yes the namesake of the coffee!).  She also met and bowled with Terri Clark, and made numerous wonderful connections which led to her band getting professional performance coaching in the fall of 2014.

Labour Day – Olympic Plaza (Sept 2013 – Sept 2017)-  Jacquie has performed the Labour Day celebrations at Olympic Plaza since 2013.     Hundreds of free burgers are handed out- with lots of people dancing and hanging out in the wading-pool/fountains in front of the stage.

Community Stampede Breakfasts….
Jacquie Drew & the Crew have performed repeatedly for many annual community breakfasts across the city, in Lake Bonavista, Mackenzie,.

June – September 2011 Calgary Vipers Home Games : Jacquie performed the pre-game shows, anthems, and 7th inning stretches for several of the Calgary Vipers Baseball games, held at Foothills Stadium in Calgary.

July 31, 2011, Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC: Jacquie Drew performed at the beautiful Garden Stage at Butchart Gardens in Victoria.  Definitely one of her most beautiful settings to date!

Saturday October 16, 2010: RED HOT CANDY HEART CD RELEASE SHOW in Calgary
This event was very special for many reasons. The Crew was thrilled to launch RED HOT CANDY HEART, Jacquie’s second disk, to a sold-out crowd at the Barn in Shawnessy – where we self-hosted for the first time (meaning we rented the hall, got all the refreshments, and sold all the tickets ourselves)! We also performed a brand-new song, “Savannah’s Song” for the first time – and the woman for whom Jacquie wrote the song (she won the song at the Haiti Benefit Show at Club Paradiso) was in the audience with her family, which was wonderful! Another first was launching a bunch of cool new merchandise, including t-shirts, and nifty personalized guitar picks made into various useful items…which we’ll have available for all our upcoming shows.
