Jacquie performs as a vibrant solo act with a live looper – allowing her to layer multiple instruments  such as hand-held percussion, bass, guitar, background vocals, harmonica and keyboard.  Together this creates the effect of 3 – 6 musicians in any given song. Alternately, she can also perform acoustically with simply piano or guitar for a small venue or quiet lounge setting.

Depending on the nature of the show, Jacquie also accepts private bookings for house parties and special events.

VENUES/SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

Community Isobreaker:  Jacquie founded an outdoor entertainment series during the pandemic, performing on lawns, soccer fields, and community park spaces.  This included a “mobile entertainment team” that volunteered to play on the front lawns of people who were shut-in due to health risks.

CD Release Shows:  Jacquie held CD Release shows in 2008, 2010, 2015 and 2021-2022 for various album releases.  Venues ranged from clubs to unique event venues such as the Barn in Shawnessy and the Lantern Church in Inglewood.  Since her 2021 CD release occurred during pandemic restrictions, this was a free event she staged as a solo act, right in a soccer field.

Ironwood Stage:   Jacquie has performed at Ironwood many times since around 2009 – from solo to full band shows.  The venue is actually downstairs from her Tenato office in Inglewood!

First Flip 2010 – 2017:  Jacquie Drew and her band performed annually at the city’s kickoff Stampede breakfast called “FIRST FLIP” put on by Tourism Calgary, the Downtown Association, the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, Calgary Arts Development and Calgary Economic Development, with about 5000 people in attendance. It’s held on the Thursday morning, the day before the parade, on Stephen Avenue Mall and 1 Street SW.

Nashville 2014:  Jacquie visited Nashville in 2014, and performed at the Row, the legendary Bluebird Cafe and the Maxwell House (yes the namesake of the coffee!).  She also met and bowled with Terri Clark, and made numerous wonderful connections which led to her band getting professional performance coaching in the fall of 2014.

Labour Day – Olympic Plaza (Sept 2013 – Sept 2017)-  Jacquie and her band performed the Labour Day celebrations at Olympic Plaza for four years (before Jacquie decided to go forward as a solo act.)

Community Stampede Breakfasts….
Jacquie has performed repeatedly for many annual community breakfasts across the city, in Lake Bonavista, Mackenzie, Signal Hill, Auburn Lake, Walden and more…

June – September 2011 Calgary Vipers Home Games : Jacquie performed the pre-game shows, anthems, and 7th inning stretches for several of the Calgary Vipers Baseball games, held at Foothills Stadium in Calgary.

July 31, 2011, Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC: Jacquie Drew performed at the beautiful Garden Stage at Butchart Gardens in Victoria.  Definitely one of her most beautiful settings to date!
